Year 11 (Preliminary) Mathematics Standard Examination Paper - (One Paper)*

Our ear 11 (Preliminary) Mathematics Standard examination papers are written by experienced HSC teachers, who are also HSC Official Exam Markers.  These papers are available exclusively to schools and are available in electronic or hardcopy format.

Students are not permitted to order these papers.

Mathematics Standard success depends on completing as many examination papers as possible. This assists students to work to a rigid time frame and develops the ability to think quickly when unexpected questions and calculations are required.

Students need to complete a variety of practice exams so that they can not only identify principles and qualify characteristics, but also explain them. It is not enough to do the same type of paper, it is important to attempt papers by a number of writers so that by the time the examination is attempted, students are not thrown by unusual presentation or questions. Security period and release date:

All HSC Trial Examinations and Preliminary Examinations are issued to schools copyright free for the restricted use of students of that school only. All trial examinations are subject to a security period lasting until August 29, 2025.

During the security period, only authorised persons may view and handle the trial examinations; students may only view the trial examinations when sitting them. After the security period has elapsed, schools are welcome to upload the examination papers on the school intranet.

*Examination papers are delivered within 5 working days of the order upon release on June 20, 2025.
